Hello and welcome to my selfship blog! You may know me from my general blog (also hosted on bearblog) but, if not, howdy! I hope you enjoy your stay.
I'm Marina, or Kōnane. I am autistic and form very strong attachments to fictional characters because of it. One character that I am especially attached to at the moment is Mr. Ant Tenna!
For those who do not know what a selfship is, I implore you to read the resources section of my "shelf" page. There's just about everything you need to get a beginners grasp on it! Now, back to me and Tenna.
To start off, I want to answer some questions! Ones I think you, the reader, might have.
Q: First off, why Tenna?
A: Growing up autistic, I learned how to act like my peers from TV. I copied cartoon characters, repeated conversations I saw between two protagonists, the like. Tenna reminds me of that, with his almost naïve nature and awkward personality. He's overbearing, he's selfish, he's frankly not the best person– and yet, I love him so much. He's just so likable to me. I relate to him a lot, and I adore how complex he is. When I first saw Tenna, I felt totally charmed. Something in my head clicked that said "Yeah, this is the one. I love this one."
Q: What's your favorite thing about Tenna?
A: Oh gosh, what's not to love? His voicelines are so cute, I listen to them to help focus when I'm working, and the flower that sprouts on his nose when he's happy! So cute!!! Tenna has me completely swooned over all of him. I also love his word art, and how expressive he is. Everything really is bigger on TV, and that includes emotions! I love his awful puns and how adorable he can be even when guilty. TLDR; everything. I love EVERYTHING about Tenna.
So... I guess that's it! I'll be back soon for another entry. I hope whoever is reading this has a TV-tastic day, and I'm excited to see you next time!
With love,
– Marina
